Özge Selin Terzioğlu graduated in 2022 from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Rhetoric. Fascinated with the intersection between the seemingly-abstract nature of language and our lived experiences, she focused her studies on the relationship between language, narrative and images. She worked as a criminal justice reporter at the non-profit media organization The Davis Vanguard, where she reported on the “everyday injustices” in court cases throughout the Bay Area and investigated COVID-related policy within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As a budding journalist, Özge wants to learn technical skills related to data-driven, multimedia journalism in order to help people reconnect with their local communities. Özge grew up in San Diego, California. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading literature, exploring the city, cooking new recipes and playing with her cat.
