Edith Bracho-Sanchez, MD is a pediatrician and the 2018-2019 Stanford Global Health and Media Fellow. Edith is from Caracas, Venezuela and came to the United States at age 15. She obtained her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in pediatrics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Edith has worked at a freelancer for ABC News and founded a health podcast for Latino parents that has received several child advocacy awards. She hopes to report on issues of global health significance- with a focus on child health- in addition to practicing as a primary care pediatrician in underserved communities.
