In celebration of Earth Day, Palo Alto organized a series of activities, including educational booths, live music, food trucks, a chance to meet zoo animals and electric car test drives.
Siqi graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in the summer of 2015 with Cum Laude Honors in Journalism. She started her career on the digital media team of China Central Television’s American headquarters in Washington, D.C. She further developed her interests in digital reporting and data journalism in the newsroom of CCTV-America. Afterward, she consolidated her reporting skills by being a one-man-band reporter in China Daily USA, where she covered the multi-facet U.S.-China relations on a daily basis in D.C. Later, Siqi brought her talents to NBC Golf channel and became a production associate for the Golf Central International Live Show. Siqi was able to explore diverse aspects in journalism during her gap year, and kept reflecting on the possibilities of advancing reporting methods in digital, print and broadcast media. She is dedicated to growing into a more thoughtful journalist through her journey in the Stanford Journalism Program with a vision in data reporting and digital journalism.
