She has most recently worked as a communications officer for the Australian consulting agency Reef Ecologic, as a science communication intern with James Cook University in Australia, and as a science writer for Oregon Sea Grant. She was a 2014 Critical Language Scholarship recipient and has been to China six times. She currently hopes to build a career that combines her passions for journalism, marine science and Chinese development.
