Ross Ewald

Ross Ewald is a coterminal student studying cybersecurity through Stanford’s Individually Designed Major in Engineering program and journalism through the Communication Masters’ Program. She is interested in combining open source investigation technologies, data analysis, and traditional journalism techniques to uncover stories about technology. When not studying, she works as a research assistant with the Stanford Internet Observatory on investigations related to online safety.

Bakersfield Police Broke 31 People’s Bones in Four Years. No Officer Has Been Disciplined for It.

Using batons, police caused fractures in some Bakersfield residents accused of serious crimes, and others who were never charged, or had charges dismissed.
