Growing up in the 60’s we were petrified that the Military Industrial Complex was gathering surveillance photographs and compiling secret logs of our friendships and political views and storing them somewhere dark crypts at the FBI where J. Edgar Hoover read them with grim relish.

Who would have imagined that as full-grown adults we would take our most intimate secrets and share them without caution with every tech giant who offered us a “free” app on the Internet?
