Families march for women’s rights at Stanford University

Over 500 Stanford community members gathered on Jan. 20 to march across Stanford University campus in support of equality for women and transgender identifying people.

Organizers of the march, freshmen Nivedha Soundappan and Chloe Stoddard, were surprised by the amount of non-University affiliates who showed. Marchers included families.

“They were honestly the most enthusiastic, the kids,” Soundappan said. “It just makes you so happy, like you’re actually making a change in their lives at such a young age.”
