Downtown Streets Team introduces new initiative to end homelessness

An organization helping homeless people in the Bay Area find jobs will expand its reach in Palo Alto. Downtown Streets Team, or DST, will start an advisory council for donors to get more involved with volunteering and event planning, as well as a youth council, in which local students will plant a school garden with DST team members. The organization’s food closet is also extending its hours to cater more toward the needs of single parents and other child care-takers.
