Rowan Ings is a filmmaker and new media storyteller, focusing on the environment, climate change, surveillance, technology and memory. She recently completed the MFA in Documentary Film at Stanford University. Prior to this, she worked four years in the UK and Russia, producing feature and broadcast documentaries. She produced ‘Climate Change on the Frontlines’ (2021) for BBC Current Affairs, which was recently nominated for a Grierson Award. She is excited to continue to build her skills and portfolio and is currently working on an interactive web-XR piece focusing on flooding, supported by a Brown Institute Magic Grant. She is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar 2021 and a BAFTA / Pigott Scholar 2021.
