Kelly graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2016 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. Her internships at the Innocence Project of New Orleans, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and the Natural Resources Defense Council developed her passion for news writing, environmental policy, the criminal justice system and public issues affecting the City of New Orleans. She is eager to develop multimedia storytelling techniques at Stanford in order to return to her hometown of New Orleans with tools to cover topics more effectively.
