Helena is a rising senior from Maryland studying International Relations and minoring in Spanish. She is spending the summer as a metro intern for The Boston Globe, covering a range of topics from climate change to migration to community activism. She will spend the latter half of the summer writing for The Globe's Money, Power and Inequality desk. She previously worked as a reporting intern for Bay City News. At Stanford, she writes for The Stanford Daily, mostly covering student activism. She also served as the managing editor of the podcast section, qualifying as a finalist for a Society of Professional Journalists award for a podcast she produced on the accessibility of love at college. In her free time, she loves to read, doodle, and drink her daily tea.
