Born and raised in Italy, Francesca graduated from Stanford with an MA in Italian and a concentration in communication, after getting a Ph.D. in Romance Literature from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. She worked as a journalist covering the Rome International Film Festival and other cultural events in Italy. As the former communication coordinator of an Italian political party, she created and ran the Facebook live columns 'Chiedilo al parlamentare' (Ask a Politician) and 'Europa in diretta' (Europe Live) in which she interviewed the party’s representatives and guests on current political issues. She is now a contributor of the Italian-English digital daily 'La Voce di New York', writing on arts, culture and entertainment. She is pursuing a career as a foreign correspondent for an Italian news outlet in the US.
