Two incumbents and one first-time candidate, Cecilia Taylor, are vying for two open seats on the Menlo Park City Council. If elected, Taylor will be the first person from her Belle Haven neighborhood to serve on the Council for 30 years.
“I live at ground zero for the biggest changes in Menlo Park,” Taylor said at a League of Women Voters Candidate Forum on Oct. 10, 2016. “My neighbors deserve a seat at the table. They want representation when the big decisions are being made.”
Also in the race are incumbents Ray Mueller and Catherine Carlton. Council members in Menlo Park serve four year terms.
