Dear, Dear Jane,
Did you notice the 1st suggestion: “Be nice”?
Not every story about oysters has to be a such an ugly fight.
Tomales Bay needs healing – from toxins and HABS. Our entire West Marin community does also – from shrill distemper.

With respect, did you notice the original 1962 PRNS authorization clearly sets a 50-year window for ‘Right of Occupancy’ for those who sold their land for our national park? Every other rancher has honored that agreement. In 2012 that right ends, yet park administration still supports its good-faith, law-abiding tenants.

Surely you’ve noticed that even after years of kid-gloves treatment from Marin BOS (who intended Sen.Feinstein to aid their desperate attempt to get DBOC into legal compliance) DBOC relies on extreme PR from the notorious SamSinger ‘fixer’ (as well as a herd of amateurs like you) and non-stop lobbying all over Capitol Hill, to shift scrutiny and blame from the fact that they have not honored the type of good-faith and legal commitments everyone else takes for granted.
DBOC has shown no intension of following the rules that other ranchers and business people do – they’ve lied to investigators, broken agreements, and fail to honor the terms of their permits.
Did you notice that even DBOC’s corporate filing with the CA Secretary of State has been suspended?
It’s not a government plot, it’s called law.

Jane, maybe you could use another hobby – why not get in the water with Luc and nourish something healthful.

Point Reyes National Seashore, established in 1962, and the 1976 Winderness Act, authored by the father of Earth Day himself Pete McKloskey, and John Burton who are both alive and fighting for the continuation of DBOC, state specifically that the oyster farm should continue. PRNS did not even exist until the ranchers, in an attempt to avoid development of 425,000 homes, made an agreement to sell their properties IN EXCHANGE FOR the right to lease back their properties IN PERPETUITY.

The current regime at the NPS, the PRNS and environmental nazis within the management of Sierra Club, Audubon Society, National Parks Conservation Association, and the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin have been colluding to reinterpret the agreements and oust the farm. Scientific misconduct charges have been brought against the NPS by world renowned scientist and elected member of the National Academy of Sciences Dr. Corey Goodman. The DOI has previously found the NPS guilty of misrepresentation of science, making false statements, etc. Senator Dianne Feinstein has stated that it appears to extend to a case of outright fraud. Congressional Hearings are underway by the House Committee on Government Oversight and Government Reform.

Yet even with all the evidence against the NPS science and false interpretations, the Sierra Club, Audubon Society, NPCA, EAC have never once retracted their mis-statements blasted across the country over the past six years, to their countrywide/worldwide membership!!! Their members have no idea what the truth really is since this matter has not yet gained main stream media attention.
