I never heard of Henry before reading this article. I live in Iowa; we don’t have guys named “Henry” here. I want to meet him. I am going to start reading the Chronicle and the Peninsula Press.

I never have to look for a byline when I read a story by Henry. His style is inimitable and I look forward to reading him. As a former copy editor and sports writer myself (1963-2005) I know what he has to go through and in today’s newspaper world, with twittering and other things you have to do, I feel for him. I also share his love for baseball. Just one thing I hold against him — he grew up a damn Dodger fan. I can never forgive him for that. I’ve been a Giants fan since 1953, although the first big league game I saw was an Athletics game at Shibe Park, and have always, always hated the Dodgers. Keep up the great work, Henry, even if you were once a Dodger fan.
